A mile and a half up the road is the world-famous Jake's Restaurant, and several other surprisingly good restaurants for so small an area, great to visit on our "cook's night out" one night a week. (You'll probably come back saying that was good, but Miss Joyce's cooking is terrific.) You can mingle with the fishermen there, or at the dominoes bar near our house. Shallow water out to the barrier reef 30 yards out; 10-15 foot depths off the reef, with a lovely coral garden halfway down a 400-yard swim from in front of the house to the "surfing beach," a break in the reef with a permanent sandbar. When waves and wind make snorkeling dubious, they make body-surfing better.

Other	Much of Jamaica's shore was once a series of fishing villages. Most of those have become tourist enclaves where fishing is barely tolerated. Treasure Beach is one of the few areas left where fishing is the lifeblood and sustenance of most residents -- but where tourists are welcomed hospitably.

Reservations Details:
Our base rate is for a group of up to four; 10% each additional person.
We ask a 50 percent deposit to hold a reservation, with the balance due a month before you fly.
As members of the Caribbean Villa Owner's Association, booking with us gives you access to "bulk" airfares with American, Air Jamaica and BWIA,usually saving you money.

A staffed beachfront villa in an unspoiled fishing village on Jamaica's untouristy South Coast, with a spectacular sea-view, private tennis and croquet courts, 50-foot lap pool and sandy beach with reef snorkeling. Meals prepared and served by a wonderful cook!

Best access is through Montego Bay Airport. It's a 2-hour drive across the mountains and along the South Coast to Treasure Beach. We'll send a map, and can put you in touch with van drivers (about US$100 each way for a group of four or five) or with car rentals that offer a discount.
