Sunset Sands is a lovely 2 bedroom ocean front condominium located in beautiful Mission Beach, San Diego, California.
The condo is situated on a 2 block wide spit that separates the ocean beach from Mission Bay. Mission Beach is a continuous 3 mile stretch of clean, soft sand. And Mission Bay is itself an incredible scenic water playland.
And all this is still only 5 minutes from Sea World, and 20 minutes from the airport, downtown, the zoo, La Jolla, and many other attractions. Whether on a business trip or a vacation, you will never stay in a motel or hotel room again after staying here. You will find your experience away from home far more pleasant and satisfying at Sunset Sands.
The unit is comfortably and newly furnished in a classic contemporary style. It was designed with the ocean in mind. You have spectacular views from all the main living areas. And the master bedroom faces the ocean, featuring a large window ocean view. There are 2 cable TV's, VCR's and a stereo system, as well as some CD's, tapes, games, puzzles, and books.
The kitchen has all you need for cooking a gourmet meal to baking a pie. Serving for 8 is provided along with lots of sizes of pots and pans, storage bins, utensils, etc. One thing is for sure, if you are going to cook, you can't do without the big things or the little things!
Sunset Sands is located directly on 3 continuous miles of beautiful Mission Beach. The beach is large, not crowded and very clean. The surf is exhilarating to play in, with or without the boogie boards. And the sunsets are unforgettable.
The neighborhood is friendly, and is a wonderful mix of people. You see surfers, retirees, families on vacation, young couples holding hands, and everything in between. The holiday or "laid back' atmosphere prevails. You will find everything you need during your stay in the immediate area.
Sunset Sands is professionally managed to make your stay go smoothly. The staff will help you get situated and will be available for anything you need. They can provide short term rental for special needs items such as a baby crib, etc. The unit is available year-round and is very reasonably priced. We welcome everyone.
San Diego is known as the "Weather Capital of the World." It and its surrounds have mild temperatures all year. Visitors from overseas are discovering its attractiveness, as well as some Easterner's who have given up on Florida! Escape your heat or cold to visit Sunset Sands.

Mission beach is gorgeous soft sand. It is also very clean. Glass is never allowed on the beach, and that rule is strictly enforced. In addition there is some equipment that frequently rake the beach, filter the sand near the boardwalk, and sweep the board walk. You can walk on the sand with your bare feet (except in the summer at the hottest point of a sunny day).
Each beach community in the San Diego area has its own personality. Mission Beach is known as "eclectic." It is a wonderful mix of all types of people. You will see couples holding hands, families with children of all ages, the elderly, teenage kids in the water, foreign travelers from Germany and Japan, "locals" visiting for the day from inland, etc., etc. Many people are there on vacation. And overall you will get the contagious feeling of fun and happiness!

To secure your reservation, you will need to send in a deposit. This will range from about $300 – $500.00. The total amount of the rental price is due 60 days before the arrival date for fall, winter, and spring bookings, and 90 days before the arrival date for summer bookings. If you cancel your reservation before the deposit is received, you will have no obligation. After the rental payment has been received and the booking is canceled, there will always be a $20.00 cancellation fee. As per California state law, the unit will then be placed back on the vacation rental market. If the unit is re-booked before the arrival date, you will only be responsible for the difference between your price and the new rental price, if the new rental price is lower. If the substitute rental price is higher, you will have no rental fee obligation. Your initial deposit funds will be returned less the $20 cancellation fee).

Sunset Sands is a lovely 2 bedroom ocean front vacation rental condo located directly on Mission Beach, San Diego, California.
Directions: :
From the West - Coming into San Diego from the east. Get or stay on Interstate 8 West. Follow the signs that say "Beaches" all the way through the city. It will take 30-45 minutes to traverse the city.
or
From the North - Coming into San Diego from the north. Get or stay on Interstate 5. Exit onto Interstate 8 going west.
Exit at Sports Arena Blvd. /West Mission Bay Drive. Stay in the right lane of the exit ramp and turn right at the light. This is West Mission Bay Blvd.
You will immediately cross a bridge. About 1/4 to 1/2 mile or so past the end of the bridge you will turn right into an "exit" that is signed West Mission Bay Dr. again. Bear to the right after the bridge. You will need to get over about 2 lanes quickly to get to the exit.
Follow the curving exit ramp and proceed on West Mission Bay Dr. for about 1 or 2 miles. You will cross 1 or 2 bridges over the bay and pass a couple of big hotels. When you get to a cross street called Mission Blvd. turn right. This road is hard to miss because of the big roller coaster of Belmont Park on the corner.
Proceed up (north on) Mission Blvd. You will travel about a mile or so until you reach the intersection with a light at Santa Clara. Continue past the intersection and in a few blocks you will reach the first stop sign past the light. Turn left here onto the side street San Jose.
Go about 50 feet until the first street (which is like an alley) called Strand Way. Turn left.
Go slowly here, you are very close. Go ahead until you reach Redondo Court. Our building will be on the right from here to the next street sign, Queenstown. You are looking at the back of the building, but it has a 3755 number in the upper corners and center.
