Kihei

Located on Maui's southern shore is the city of Kihei.

This ocean-side city has a number of water sports available on the many beaches accessible from this side of the island. There are a number of beaches around Kihei, such as Memorial Park, Charley Young Beach, and Keawakapu Beach. Keawakapu Beach and Memorial Park are quiet beaches in the area that allow for relaxing swims and picnics along the shore. When Memorial Park experiences trade winds, wind-surfing can be done on at this beach. There is also a series of beaches sharing the name Kama'ole. Kama'ole I and II offer visitors calm and quiet waters and scenery for a quiet day at the beach, perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Other activities in Kihei include learning how to surf, kayaking, and whale-watching during the winter and spring months. Fishing and boating are other popular activities that can be enjoyed year -round in the area.

With the majestic Haleakala in the background, the beautiful beaches have excellent views of the area, making it an exciting and awe-inspiring adventure experience.
