Kauai's northern shore is home to an area called Kilauea, not to be confused with the infamous volcano on the Big Island.
Charming and peaceful, Kilauea has much to offer visitors who venture through the area. While in this area of Kauai, visitors will be able to go fishing via one of the many charters that service the area. There is also a lighthouse in the area, called the Kilauea Lighthouse, which has been around for almost 100 years, helping boats find their way around the sea, with a beam that stretches up to 90 miles. Anini Beach can be accessed from here, and it has some fantastic snorkeling on this side of the island. For those who like to look at animals who make their home by the sea, be sure to visit the Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge. The Hanalei Valley Lookout allows visitors to kayak through bodies of water that are scattered throughout the land, while surfing is available near the ocean shore.
Kauai's Kilauea offers guests many adventures hidden in the lush greenery of the island.
