Occupying most of the United States’ western coast is the state of California. Known for all its fun in the sun, visitors will be able to find water activities from the north all the way to the south.
With so much shoreline available, there is no shortage of space or activities in this state. The southern part of California is notorious for having excellent surf spots.
Sun is almost synonymous with southern California, as there is pleasant weather here through most of the year. Some exciting regions to go surfing are in the southern half of California such as San Diego, Santa Cruz and Los Angeles. Some popular spots include Huntington Beach, Steamer Lane, and Malibu. Sailing is another great activity to participate in while in California, and some great places to sail are at Santa Barbara, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Windsurfing is also available in these same areas.
California is an excellent place to visit for those who enjoy spending time in the cool and exciting Pacific Ocean waters at any time during the year.
