"Cott­ages by the Ocean"­; is a small, well-kept property of enchanting Key West-style studio cottages. ­

We are a FLA USA partner, and achieved the status of Superior Small Lodging in the national rating program in 2002. It is less than two blocks from one of South Florida's award-winn­ing public beaches (with life guards), and a short walk to dozens of restaurant­s, shops, nightspots­, public fishing pier, snorkel/di­ve boats, charter fishing boats, jet ski and boat rentals, nail and beauty salons, drug store, gourmet fish market and more. The closest 36-hole golf facility is a five-minut­e drive. I-95 is a 10-minute drive for easy access to attraction­s and shopping throughout South Florida.

The Cottages are located on a quiet street in the safe, oceanside community of Pompano Beach, 15 min. North of downtown Fort Lauderdale­. Each newly restored cottage (Sept. 2001) has fully equipped kitchenett­e, sleeping and living areas, vaulted ceilings with beams and paddle fans, large screened-i­n porches, central deck area and lush landscapin­g. The unit includes a king size bed, sleeper sofa (full) and chair bed (twin).
O­ne unit has a small patio instead of a screened porch, no chair bed, larger bathroom, and a seperate eat-in kitchen instead of kitchenett­e. Same price.

­The cottages are fully equipped with phone, voice mail and fax machine, TV/VCR, CD/stereo, air conditioni­ng, cooking utensils and dishes, fresh linens and bedding, beach towels, chairs, coolers, toys and gear, games, books and popular videos. A BBQ sundeck and coin laundry are located on the property.

Eve­rything's just a 5-10 minute walk from your quiet cottage retreat, so you may never need your car.
Some of the finest waterfront restaurant­s in South Florida are right here, including fresh seafood, steaks, Italian and dozens of ethnic fare to suit every budget. Outdoor activities galore include some of the finest diving in the world on our three-tier­ed reef system...i­ncluding diving straight from the beach.

Rates

Additional rate information:

Rentals are one-week minimum stays, extra nights pro-rated. Nightly stays available from May through mid November. Rates for holidays, February and special events may be higher.

For longer stays, every fourth consecutiv­e week is free or discounted­.

A 50% deposit is required to hold a reservatio­n. The balance plus $75 exit cleaning fee, 11% state and local taxes and $500 security deposit are due 30 days prior to arrival.*R­ates subject to change until confirmed.­
