Attractions and Activities
Horseback Riding With a greats and docile horses you can go around the farm land and enjoy the view with both lakes, Arenal Volcano and if you are lucky you can sea the Nicaragua Lake to. Birds and monkeys will accompany you on the trails. Hiking On the biological reserve at Eco-lodge there are man made trails of about 11 km, from which many of the secrets and the grandeur of the pre mountainous forest can be explored. Biologists and Botanists rank it as one of the richest and most diverse in Costa Rica, a country that prides itself in possessing 5% of the worlds biodiversity. Likewise, you can walk through our botanical garden, which features 80 of the 105 species of palms native to Costa Rica. Trained guides will afford interesting explications regarding each species. The hours will fly by at this outdoor University. Kayaking & Canoeing Picture yourself surrounded by calm waters embraced by green and luscious hills, a fresh breeze blowing all around and the singing of birds in the background. Toward the end of the east side the conic figure of the volcano stands out
awesome. This is the scenery at the Arenal Lake for kayak and canoe rides. Arenal Lake is a man made lake and it is the biggest in the country. Has 450 meters above sea level and covers 80 square kilometers. World champions have ranked it among the top five best places to windsurf on the planet, due to its strong and consistent winds that blow at an average 40 miles per hour. Here you will also find the most important hydroelectric project of the country and an impressive view of the windmills. Canopy Tour You will slide with the help of cables, and will cover 12 platforms built around huge and strong trees, that stand at an average height of 30 meters. At this altitude you will see a wide variety of orchids, bromeliads, ferns, moss and lichens that stand out like decorations on the green treetops. As far as animals are concern it is not unusual to run into sloths, white-faced monkeys, and a huge variety of birds and the view of Lake Coter. Canopy is a supervised activity and the equipment utilized can hold up to 3 tons of weight, which assures the highest standards of security. The activity starts off with a brisk 10-minute walk into the forest, among well-trodden paths, in order to reach the first platform. The tour is approximately 2 hours long and you will need comfortable clothes that allow for maximum flexibility and the desire to enjoy the sensation of great altitude.
