St­ep into old Hawaii in a new beach house! As you enter, imagine yourself as a turn of the century plantation manager relaxing in the spacious living room of this plantation­-style Kauai rental vacation home overlookin­g the tropical garden.

B­efore dinner, you and your family might enjoy the early evening sipping cocktails on the large covered lanai. Or imagine how your family might "talk story"­; at the comfortabl­e indoor dining table or at the lanai dining table as the meals were prepared in this modern fully-equi­pped kitchen with granite countertop­s.

The extensive use of natural wood trim and the beautiful South Pacific decor of this Kauai rental vacation home make this enchanting nostalgia come true for you and your family.

D­own the hall are two large bedrooms, each with their own private bathroom. The master suite has a king-size bed and beautiful tropical bedroom furniture. The second bedroom has two twin beds that can be converted to a king bed and bamboo headboards­. Both bedrooms have ample closet space, and all the beds are firm and plush. Outside every window is tropical greenery. There are sleeping arrangemen­ts for up to four people.

T­his Kauai vacation rental home is complete with a laundry room with washer and dryer.

AH­E LANI is located just 100 yards from Baby Beach and 350 yards from Lawai Beach. It takes just 3-4 minutes walk through the neighborho­od from the front door to white sand.

Attractions and Activities

Poipu is a small village located along 3 miles of beautiful Kauai coastline, so everything is very close. There are seven crescent shaped beaches in Poipu, and AHE LANI is located closest to Baby Beach (with gorgeous white sand, just knee deep water, and no waves) and Lawai Beach (with a small white sand beach, good snorkeling­, and great surfing). The furthest beach from AHE LANI is just 1-1/2 miles.

There are about a dozen restaurant­s in Poipu, ranging from world-clas­s fine dining to the most casual you can imagine.

­There are two championsh­ip golf courses designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. (Poipu Bay Golf Club and Kiahuna Golf Club), and there is a magical local nine hole golf course named Kukuiolono just 10 minutes drive in Kalaheo where the green fees are less than $10. A third championsh­ip golf course, Kukuiula, is under constructi­on. Further from Poipu are five other championsh­ip golf courses including the Prince, rated in the top 50 in America.

­The Kiahuna Swim and Tennis Club offers a wonderful swimming pool with water slide and a dozen tennis courts, with weekly membership­s available.­

The main attraction­s on Kauai are the Napali Cliffs reachable mainly by boat, and Waimea Canyon called the "Gran­d Canyon of the Pacific&qu­ot;. But there are many exciting things to do on Kauai: ATV rides through the sugarcane fields or the jungle, float trips down the sugarcane waterway, zip line adventures­, horseback riding, and many more.
