The Caribbean's newest and most exciting fantasy villa is designed in Moorish style, and sits right on its own private shore with commanding ocean views. From the moment you drive through massive gates into Azzurra Castle's entry courtyard, you'll be enchanted with the exotic storybook aura of this impressive and very deluxe estate, and welcomed by its friendly and attentive staff. A keyhole gate ushers you into the main courtyard and its three charming living areas spread with plush, oversized cushions and accented with antiques, marble, wrought iron pieces, colorful mosaic tiling, ottomans, a bar, and the kitchen, dining area, and smoking room beyond. Thick archways, columns, crenellated walls and turrets, and Moroccan accessories add to The Castle's centuries-old look; this perfect setting for a tale of Aladdin is softened by gentle curves, clever private nooks, and tasteful stone washed in earthy hues. But its lively palette of colors and perfect site, constantly drawing in cool breezes, is very Caribbean. A large archway opens onto a complex and ornamental stairway system which takes you down to the lower level and the wide pool patio flanked by two bedroom/bath suites on each side. The pool is adorned with hand painted frescos and water spills over its infinity edge through an archway set with a vibrant blue trellis into the 3-foot-deep Jacuzzi. Three queen bedroom/bath garden suites and a palatial master suite all face the pool area and are beautifully and whimsically decorated; the huge bi-level master suite boasts a king bed, a bath with custom features, and its own lavish sitting room and private patio deck. Another walkway leads to the air-conditioned and well-equipped gym, and to the air-conditioned conference room - and beyond, right down by the sea, is The Folly, situated in its own romantic, three-story circular turret with a courtyard. This private aerie offers a private bed/bath suite on its upper level with an oversized bed, a bar, and its own kitchen, roof terrace, and BBQ area for entertaining. A spiral staircase leads you down to the lower level where one double bed can accommodate one adult or an older child (no bath). Azzurra Castle's staff provide charming and attentive service included in the rental rate (cook, housekeepers, and gardener); you pay for the food and drink your order only. Azzurra Castle offers a full staff to its guests, included in the rental rates: Gloria, the cook, Rosie and Alice, the housekeepers (two of whom who may stay on the property in separate staff quarters from time to time), and James, the gardener and general assistant. A morning grocery-shopping service is also available to guests at $25 U.S. per day, if you do not wish to go shopping with Gloria. You may reimburse her at cost for all food and drink purchased by her. Gloria has sample menus and a suggested grocery list available to you upon request. The staff offers excellent service to The Castle's guests from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily (or later, if arranged for special dinners); the villa's wet bar and a refrigerator will be available to guests 24 hours a day. The kitchen in the Main House at Azzurra Castle is generally off-limits to guests and is for the use of the villa staff only. If only the Main House is rented, The Folly MAY be occupied by the on-site managers...please inquire!
AZZURRA CASTLE IS ONLY 7 MINUTES' DRIVE FROM GRENADA'S AIRPORT.
A 7-night minimum rental period is required at Azzurra Castle all year around, but shorter stays may be negotiated - again, please inquire!
