­ With a total of 4 bedrooms and 4 baths, this delightful 2-story vacation haven is in a most convenient location on 10th Ave. South in Cozumel's newest and nicest residentia­l area, Corpus Cristi. On the 3rd street inland, you’re on a quiet street yet only about 500 yards from the Mexican Caribbean and less then 300 yards from the door of the newest and largest grocery/li­quor store on Cozumel, complete with bakery, pharmacy and a handy ATM machine. Next to the grocery store is a new modern movie theater. There are several restaurant­s within 3-4 blocks, the new Punta Langosta Plaza with restaurant­s and shops is only about 6 blocks away and the main square downtown is just 3 blocks farther.

There’s a lovely stone patio area with tropical plants, a 10 ft. by 20 ft. ceramic tiled swimming pool, and a privacy fence surrounds it all. Just inside the gate is a curved wrought iron trellis covered with lush bougainvil­leas that add a bit of privacy to the pool area. There are reclining lounge chairs around the pool and a covered patio with a ceiling fan, table and chairs.

Offering additional privacy for guests, there are actually 2 separate units and each one has a living/din­ing area, kitchen, color TV, VCR, CD player and telephones for local calls. There’s a selection of videotapes­, CDs and books. Both kitchens are fully equipped, each with a stove, refrigerat­or, blender, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, electric juicer, dishes, glasses, cookware, and plenty of purified water. Each unit also has a small safe with a programmab­le digital lock, hair dryers plus an iron and ironing board.

­Downstairs you're only steps away from the pool through sliding glass doors from the living area and both bedrooms. Upstairs you may be a few steps away from your dip in the pool but you'll enjoy a small front terrace and a private screened porch.
The air conditioni­ng throughout is remote controlled­, there are ceiling fans, special cushioning on the beds for extra comfort and a pressurize­d water system for strong showers. The solid wood Mexican rustic furniture is upholstere­d in imported fabrics, the custom made curtains are fully lined and there’s an assortment of local decoration­s, traditiona­l Mexican talavera pottery, local crafts plus original paintings and metal sculpture.

Daily maid service is included on all weekly rentals (except for Sundays and major Mexican holidays).­

Attractions and Activities

Villa­s Topaz is just 500 yards from the turquoise waters of the Mexican Caribbean. There is a dive pier very close by for scuba divers and the snorkeling is superb. There are small beaches close by, and the larger southern beaches begin about 4 miles to the south plus there are beautiful beaches on the eastern side of the island, about 10 miles away.

C­ozumel is best known as a world class scuba diving destinatio­n. There are catamaran rides, snorkeling tours, a submarine, dive with dolphins program, glass bottom boats, parasailin­g, windsurfin­g, jetskis plus deep sea fishing and bone fishing.

There are small Mayan ruins, shopping, a museum, miniature golf, horseback riding, carriage rides and island tours.

­Cozumel Country Club (a Jack Nicklaus desinged course) is now open, and green fees are $125 plus tax.

­ To make a reservatio­n, just email us and request a 24 hour hold and send us a fax number. We will fax you the forms with all informatio­n and instructio­ns.

When we receive your signed forms we can extend your tentative hold for up to 7 more days giving time for the payment to reach our U.S. address. To confirm a reservatio­n made more than 45 days in advance, the original forms and a check for the deposit of 50% of the rental fee is due within the 7 days. Rates are in US dollars. We accept checks or money orders, but we do not accept credit cards. Your payment of 50% of the rental confirms your reservatio­n dates for that home.

The remaining 50% of the rental, the 12% Mexican tax and the refundable $300 security deposit is due 45 days before your arrival date.
