Port Douglas is the closest town to the Great Barrier Reef, visible from the moon, it remains one of the great wonders of the modern world. Trips depart daily to the reef where you can snorkel, dive or even fish (for dinner or a trophy sized black marlin)Close by there is the Daintree Rainforest, a 130 million year old rainforest where plant and animal life abound.
