Puerto Morelos is located in the northeastern corner of Mexico's Yucatan peninsula. This vacation spot is not as busy as its neighbor, Cancun, and offers many of the same exciting water sports in the Caribbean.
Puerto Morelos is lucky to have two water-related national parks near it, making snorkeling and scuba-diving easily accessible. Snorkeling is a must-do activity in Puerto Morelos, and one spot to do it is in the Puerto Morelos Coral Reefs National Park. From here, there are there are tours that can take visitors to the offshore reefs. Where snorkeling is available, scuba-diving is not far. There are several places to go, most of which are contained in the National Marine Park of Puerto Morelos. Some spots within the park include Jardines, Nito's Place, and Cuvones. Those who have no scuba-diving experience can enroll in the dive schools near this area. While in Puerto Morelos, fishing is available through the many charters that opt to take visitors out to the deep blue.
