On the southern part of Mexico's Baja California region is the region known as East Cape, or "Cabo del Este" to many of the locals. Aquatic adventures are certainly promised to visitors of this region.
This part of Mexico is well known to fishing enthusiasts everywhere. The types of fish that wander in the waters vary, from blue marlin to swordfish and yellowfin tuna. There are a number of fishing charters in the area that take enthusiasts out to test their luck on the waters. Kayaking upon these same waters is another popular activity. The constant and beautiful weather, coupled with the abundance of waves also makes activities like wind-surfing, -kite-surfing, and sailing viable options for those looking to spend a day or three under the sun at places like Shipwrecks Beach or Playa Higuera. The nearly empty beaches are clean and quiet, making an adventure to any of them a great idea for those who just want to get away. These same beaches are also great for snorkeling or diving and is possible at Playa Los Frailes and Los Barriles.
The East Cape is a great escape from the busy pace of everyday life.
