The Republic of Croatia is located along the Adriatic Sea and has approximately 5800 km or 3600 miles of coastline. Offshore are thousands islands and although most are uninhabited some 60 are home to island residents. The coastal climate is Mediterranean, similar to Italy, France, South Africa and California.
