Turks and Caicos Islands
The Turks and Caicos Islands are two groups of islands located on the eastern edge of the Caribbean north of Hispaniola. There are a few different regions amongst these islands that include the Caicos Islands, Providenciales, Grand Turk, and other regions that group the islands differently. Regardless, each region promises visitors a bunch of fun while basking under the sun.
Providenciales is the most popular region for tourists to travel to. Here, there are a number of things to do, such as waterskiing and wakeboarding. Other activities include booking fishing charters or enjoying sunset cruises. An interesting site in these islands is the Caicos Conch Farm that raises conch shells. From January to April, North Atlantic humpback whales can be seen around the islands, and visitors can charter a boat to hopefully spot them. JoJo the Dolphin is another natural wonder. He is a dolphin that interacts with humans while still in his natural habitat, in fact, the government has proclaimed him a National Treasure.
The Turks and Caicos Islands are perfect for those who love the ocean and all the animals in them. Visitors will not go wrong with all the opportunities they have to experience nature at its finest.
