El Yunque is a national forest that takes up most of Puerto Rico’s eastern half. Visitors will certainly have an adventure with forest and beaches around.

The El Yunque Rainforest is overwhelmingly beautiful, and has many tropical trees scattered across its varied terrain. There are many waterfalls visitors to the park can hike to view such as La Mina, La Coca, and the lesser-known Juan Diego Falls. Visitors can swim in the pools around the waterfalls as well. Those who want to view the vast rainforest can hike and climb the many lookout towers around the park such as the Yokahu Observation tower and Torre Britton. Luquillo Beach is close to El Yunque, and visitors can head here for some watersports. There are restaurants that line the shores of Luquillo, and watersports are available here. Visitors can learn to surf, kayak along the shore, or go on a snorkeling tour to view the coral reefs.

El Yunque is extraordinarily beautiful. The expanse of the rainforest has many hidden treasures, just like the waves that roll off the shores of Puerto Rico.
