Found on the northern coast of Puerto Rico is the small town of Dorado. Dorado is a quiet but very popular tourist location for watersports and relaxing under the sun.
One of the beaches in the area is Sardinera Beach, which has cool waters perfect for swimming relaxing on the shore. There is a hiking trail nearby that offers great panoramic views of the neighboring ocean. Kikita and El Unco Beach are great for those who want to surf during their stay in this part of Puerto Rico. Playa del Dorado is another great spot to visit because it doesn’t have many crowds but gives visitors the opportunity to go swimming, kayaking, fishing and boating. Visitors can also arrange to go jet-skiing and parsailing with various companies. Be sure to visit Ojo Del Buey Park near the La Plata River, as it offers a nice place to have a picnic. Other beaches in the area include Playa de los Tocones and Cerro Gordo.
