Port Antonio is situated on the northeastern coast of Jamaica. This beautiful city has much to offer residents in natural wonders and watersports.
Port Antonio is not frequented by many tourists and has retained its rural charm throughout the years. Because its land hasn’t been excessively developed, guests of the town will have their share of beautiful sites to visit while exploring the area. While here, tourists can raft down the Rio Grande and hike in the caves situated just outside of town. Fishing and snorkeling are available at the town’s marina, and equipment can be rented out for the day. The Somerset Falls are also lovely, as it’s a hike into the lush rainforests and visitors will be rewarded by a cool swim in the river. Be sure to visit Blue Lagoon as well, which has a depth of about 185 feet. Visitors will find many motorized watersports in the area.
Although the area is not highly developed, it makes up for it in the many beautiful natural features it has to offer. From waterfalls to lagoons, Port Antonio offers visitors a relaxing and tranquil experience in this part of the Caribbean.
