Grenada is a small island country located near the northern coast of Southern America and is part of the Grenadines. Two islands also associated with Grenada are Carriacou and Petite Martinique, some of the smaller Grenadines. Grenada, however, is the largest of the Grenadines and is home to many of the major towns and is covered in many beautiful trees and flowers.
Boating is a popular activity here, and with clear turquoise waters, it is easy to see why. Because Grenada and the surrounding islands are located outside of the hurricane zone, visitors can expect safe waters throughout the year. Many vacationers start in Carriacou and begin their island yachting trip at this point. Grenada is increasing the number of marinas to make this easier for travelers. Sailing is another popular activity here, and visitors can ride boats to see dolphins and whales when they are in season. Fishing is also a popular water sport, and it is possible to book a charter while on vacation here.
Grenada is a great place to visit for boating enthusiasts, and with three distinct islands, there is no way any vacationer could go wrong.
