El Seibo

Located near the eastern coast of the Dominican Republic is the El Seibo city and province. This city has a rustic charm and is only a short distance away from the northern shore of this Caribbean island.

El Seibo may not be near the water but it is close to many popular water sport destinations in the Dominican Republic. Be sure to head towards the Parque Nacional Los Haitises. From mangrove forests to lush forests and seagrass beds, visitors will be intrigued by the beautiful scenery found in the region. The Taino Caves near this region are a popular destination. Visitors can also take small boat tours to the small neighboring islets. Miches is also nearby and is a great beach destination, with two lagoons and awe-inspiring beaches. There are many limon trees in the region, causing the neighboring lagoons to be playfully named “Playa Limon” and “Laguna Limon.” During the winter seasons, visitors might be lucky enough to spot whales breaching in the distance.

Although El Seibo is located a small distance from the ocean, it still has access to some of the Dominican Republic’s most charming and inspiring sites.
