St. Lucy Vacation Rentals

The northernmost region of Barbados is known as St. Lucy. This area is undeveloped when compared to the other regions, but is beautiful and enticing with the watersports and adventures it has to offer.

From St. Lucy, visitors can access Maycock Bay. The bay has excellent waves perfect for surfing and many dives sites can be accessed from this area. The coral reef formations and colorful tropical fish make this a popular spot for scuba-diving. Swimming is not recommended at many of the beaches in the northern part of Barbados because of the strong currents and waves. Despite this, spots like Cove Bay and Little Bay offer beautiful views of the ocean and seaside cliffs in the area.

There are two lighthouses on this side of the island visitors can see: Harrision’s Point Lighthouse and North Point. A really unique place to visit is Animal Flower Cave. This cave has been formed by the erosion of the Atlantic Ocean. When the sea is calm, visitors can enter and view “animal flowers” that reside in the area. The practically untouched region of St. Lucy has exciting and equally wonderful points to see.
