Antigua and Barbuda is known for their stunning and tranquil beaches. The Southwest Coast of Antigua is no exception. With a number of beaches watersports and activities will never be hard to find.
The Southwest Coast of Antigua is comprised of several bays and beaches. Towards the southernmost part is Carlisle Beach. While the beach has many resorts on its shores, the waters are clear and perfect for snorkeling as a variety of brilliantly colored fish call this area home. Other great snorkeling locations on the southwestern coast are Fryes Beach and Darkwood Beach both of which have calm and clear waters perfect for swimming as well. Jolly Beach is close to this region of Antigua as well. Here, visitors will be able to find boats that can take them to the island’s most popular diving spots, go sailing, and participate in a number of other watersports, such as kayaking and paddle-boating. The southwestern coast is close to other great features of Antigua such as English Harbor, home to Nelson’s Dockyard.
The Southwest Coast of Antigua will surely have enough adventures to satisfy all visitors to the area.
