On Canada’s southeastern edge is the small province of Nova Scotia, which juts out into the Atlantic Ocean.
Almost all of Nova Scotia is a mere two hours away from the Atlantic Coast, giving visitors a chance to see the ocean, no matter where they are. Cabot Trail is a popular spot to visit. This scenic drive allows visitors to see the majestic mountains meet the calm waters of the Atlantic Ocean in a brilliant display of greens and blues. In the right season, visitors may be able to see whales breaching in the shores of the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
The Bay of Fundy is also accessible from Nova Scotia and boasts the highest tides in the world. Another option is kayaking near some of the cliffs that border the water’s edge. Of course, there are beautiful beaches here, such as the cobblestone Halifax beach and the Five Islands Provincial Park, which boasts some very unique rock formations. Surfers always enjoy the waves on the Eastern Shore, as the rugged terrain and great waves often please any outdoor enthusiast.
Nova Scotia is a place of wonder and guests of this province never tire of the wonders it provides.
