Hampton Beach

Hampton BeachNew Hampshire has only seventeen miles of coastline. Its principle beach is Hampton Beach, which is located along the Atlantic Ocean in Rockingham County in the north-eastern part of the State.

With its five miles of grainy sand and exceptional surf, Hampton Beach features a boardwalk, with shops, restaurants, hotels, and an arcade.

Hampton Beach is great for families. During the summer the Seashell Stage on the beach offers free entertainment under the stars, and there are regular Wednesday night fireworks displays.

From August 19 to 23, Hampton Beach hosts a Children's Festival that features a sandcastle contest, costume parades, puppet shows, a magic show, and other entertainment on the Sea Shell Stage.

Local attractions include a playground, the Casino Cascade Water Slide, and the hands-on exhibits and aquarium at the Science & Nature Center at nearby Seabrook Station. From the beach, you can hop on a free trolley to Seabrook Greyhound Park or the Factory Outlet Mall.
