Baby Beach

Baby BeachBaby Beach is a semicircular beach that borders a bay with placid and shallow waters.

Baby Beach is a perfect family beach, comprised of a small bay filled with powder white sand. The bay is shoulder deep at its deepest, thus the name "Baby".

Located in the area known as Seroe Colorado, Baby Beach is tucked away behind the the Lago (now Coastal) Oil Refinery in San Nicolas. Baby Beach was a creation of the Oil refinery workers. With a bit of engineering they simply built a wall blocking off the rough Atlantic. The result is a perfect white sand beach surrounded by calm, crystal blue waters.

Snorkelers get to enjoy the wonderful coral heads located in the channel.

This lesser known beach is well worth all the effort to get to.

  • Excellent swimming conditions and a great spot for snorkelling
  • White powder sand.
  • No facilities other than a refreshment stand.
  • Baby Beach is like a big kiddie pool with fish
  • To get to the Baby Beach you have to go around a local oil refinery. Fortunately the winds blow in the opposite direction but it does detract from the beauty
  • This beach is a must for the family
